Anand Engineering delivers integrated manufacturing solutions for heavy fabrication and machining across power, wind energy, mining, construction, and heavy engineering sectors. Our facilities are equipped to manage complex structures with controlled processes, skilled execution, and consistent quality.

Our fabrication workflow includes cutting, forming, welding, inspection, surface preparation, coating, and machining, supported by 100% quality checks and advanced inspection methods. With a production capacity of approximately 8,000 MT per month, we are equipped to support high-volume and project-specific manufacturing requirements with reliable delivery.

Process Technology Center Services

Material Preparation & Cutting

All raw materials are received as per approved specifications and are subjected to identification, verification, and inspection before being released for production. Material traceability is maintained throughout the manufacturing cycle, ensuring that each component can be tracked back to its source in line with quality and customer requirements.

Cutting operations are performed using advanced CNC cutting and laser cutting machines, enabling high accuracy and repeatability. These processes ensure precise edge quality, correct profiles, and minimal dimensional deviation, which are essential for maintaining downstream fabrication quality and reducing rework.

Forming & Shaping

Following cutting, plates and sections are formed into the required shapes using rolling machines, hydraulic press brakes, and presses. Forming operations are executed strictly as per approved drawings and procedures to achieve the desired geometry and structural characteristics.

Controlled forming plays a critical role in ensuring dimensional accuracy and structural integrity, especially for heavy and complex components. Proper forming minimizes internal stresses, supports accurate assembly, and ensures consistency across repeated production batches.

Fit-Up & Assembly

Formed components are assembled using defined fit-up procedures to ensure correct alignment, joint configuration, and dimensional conformity prior to welding. Skilled personnel carry out fit-up activities using jigs, fixtures, and measurement tools to meet tolerance requirements.

Accurate fit-up is essential to achieve high-quality welds and prevent distortion during welding. This stage directly influences the strength, appearance, and dimensional stability of the final fabricated structure.

Welding

Welding is performed in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) using qualified processes such as Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) and other appropriate welding methods based on application needs. All welding parameters are controlled to ensure consistency and structural soundness.

Certified welders carry out welding operations under supervised conditions, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. Continuous monitoring of weld quality helps achieve reliable joints capable of withstanding operational loads and environmental conditions.

Inspection & Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

Inspection activities are conducted at multiple stages of manufacturing as defined in the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). Dimensional verification is performed using Laser measurement systems and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure compliance with drawing requirements.

Where specified, Non-Destructive Testing (UT, MPI, PT, and VT) is carried out to assess weld integrity and detect internal or surface defects. These inspections ensure that fabricated components meet stringent quality and safety standards before proceeding to the next stage.

Surface Preparation

Once fabrication and inspection are completed, components undergo surface preparation through temperature-controlled blasting. This process removes rust, scale, oil, and contaminants from the surface to achieve the required cleanliness and surface profile.

Effective surface preparation is critical for coating performance, as it ensures proper adhesion and enhances corrosion resistance. Controlled blasting conditions help achieve uniform surface quality across large and complex structures.

Coating & Finishing

Protective coatings are applied based on application and environmental requirements, using industrial painting systems or Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG) processes. Coating selection, thickness, and application methods are defined as per customer specifications.

Coating quality is monitored through visual inspection and measurement to ensure durability and long-term protection against corrosion. Proper finishing enhances product life and suitability for harsh operating environments.

Final Inspection & Dispatch

Before dispatch, all components undergo final inspection to verify dimensional accuracy, coating quality, documentation completeness, and overall compliance with customer requirements.

Approved components are safely packed and dispatched with full traceability and documentation. Efficient logistics planning ensures timely delivery and readiness for installation at customer sites.

Anand Engineering operates three integrated manufacturing units in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, all within a 5 km radius. Each unit supports specialized fabrication and assembly, enabling efficient production flow, consistent quality, and scalable capacity for domestic and export markets.
